What Does a Money Coach Do?
and what’s the difference between a Money Coach & a Financial Adviser?
Many people ask me why I became a Money Coach instead of a Financial Adviser and the answer is this:
As a Money Coach my work is focused on all aspects of financial security, independence and ultimately freedom. It’s not about the financial products, it’s about your mindset, your goals and how you are going to achieve them.
Annette Rose – Money Coach
I work with teachers and women who have found themselves in financial difficulty for a variety of reasons such as:
apathy to their financial situation leading them to be too dependent on others only to see it all come crashing down when life happens (like divorce for example)
overspending and getting into financial difficulty because of instant gratification addiction
believing that they are too ‘dumb’ to understand money.
And I also work with teachers and women who want to avoid financial difficulty and really master money.
Financial Advisers have a job to do which involves providing you with financial products to meet your needs. If you don’t know what your needs are or have Money Mindset issues – the likelihood of a financial adviser being able to help you is slim.
Because when someone tells you to do something that you don’t truly understand or even know if you need – you don’t really care about it.
And that’s when you need a Money Coach.
As a Money Coach, I focus specifically on teachers and women, empowering them to have a healthy money mindset, education in the building blocks of personal finance. I teach about budgeting, saving, investing and personal insurance. I ensure my clients have the skills and tools they need to become financially free.
My mission is to see my clients become financially free – which just means that:
“you have the ability to make decisions in life without worrying about money, it’s when you control your money – it doesn’t control you”.
A final note about women - we truly need to take charge of their own financial future – with 40% of single women in Australia retiring in poverty –and with women over 55 being the fastest-growing group of homeless in Australia there’s never been a better time to invest in yourself and ensure that you are financially secure.
